IAMX – Chris Corner, known as the front-man of the London Group Sneaker Pimps, started the band in the 90`s,when he was 15 years old.
Although he wrote the songs on the first album, he decided to release it with a female vocalist.The success of the Sneaker Pimps in the US resulted in sales of 1.5 million albums.“Splinter“, the second release saw Chris on vocals and a unique creative direction, which has been a trademark of Chris Corner and Sneaker Pimps.The band went on to develop the Home-taping sessions at London`s Contemporary Arts museum, followed by the launch of their own label Splinter Recordings,which is responsible for discovering acts like „The Servant“ and „Robots in Disguise“.While the new Sneaker Pimps album is in work,Chris has been reaching his audience through his solo-project IAMX.
Whether it is Sneaker Pimps or IAMX, Chris` live-performances have always been the highlight of any event, and 2006 was no exception with live shows that took him from the U.S. across Europe and all the way to Russia.
In November 2005 the new Moonbootica Single „Pretty little angel“ was released featuring IAMX .
2006 saw Chris back on tour to promote his new album „The Alternative“ as well as the soundtrack to the french film „Les chevaliers du ciel“ directed by Gerard Pires.
